SkillShark Software and The Players Way Join Forces to Revolutionize Athlete Development for Their Youth Programs

[MONDAY, JULY 15, 2024] SkillShark and The Players Way, the official youth development initiative of the Major League Baseball Players Association, announced Monday their new partnership to help enhance player development and feedback for youth athletes using SkillShark’s advanced assessment technology.

SkillShark’s athlete evaluation software has been widely recognized for evolving what used to be a manual, tedious pen and paper process, to now being able to streamline player assessments using their mobile application.

This partnership will provide The Players Way access to real-time player data to analyze and administer predominant training and development for their youth.

The Players Way was created by pro athletes and coaches with the vision to evolve the next generation of youth athletes signified by their motto: “To Be Your Best, Be Taught By The Best.” A standard that focuses heavily on player development, which is why detailed athletic assessments are such a key fundamental part of their program.

Using software like SkillShark helps provide athletes with a visual on what they’re doing well and what areas can be improved. This aligns well with the vision of The Players Way, as they will be able to provide athletes with a tailored improvement program administered by some of the best coaches and athletes in the business.

The Players Way plans to use SkillShark to evaluate 13,000 athletes this season and plan to continue to grow to around 7500 camps/year.
