Player Check-In

Watch this quick video for checking in players prior to an event.


Step 1: Navigate to Event

Open the SkillShark app on your mobile device, and navigate to the event you will be evaluating. Once in the event, click on “Check-in Players”

Step 2: Sort & check in players

For seamless check-in, sort players by first name, last name, jersey colour, and jersey number. Additionally, you can search for players by typing any name or number in the top navigation bar.

Once navigated to the player(s) of your choice, click the blue “Check-In” button.

Step 3: Add Walk-ons

As with any event, you might have athletes show up last minute (who did not register). To add any walk-ons, navigate to the ‘+’ on the top right of your screen and fill out the player’s information & add a photo.

Player check-in on SkillShark is a feature designed to check in players at tryouts, camps, clinics, combines, and more. Checking in players on a mobile device ensures accuracy & efficiency.

Checking in players on a mobile device (as opposed to pen-and-paper forms) saves coaches the headache of searching for players on a printed form. Instead, they can use SkillShark to search for a player and check them in immediately. This results in greater accuracy.

There is no limit! Use SkillShark to check in as many players as you would like.

To check in players on SkillShark, users must have either the All-Star or Legend tier subscription. These tiers provide access to advanced features, including the ability to generate and customize leaderboards.

Yes! Anyone who has download the SkillShark app and has been added to your evaluation event can go ahead and check in players on their own mobile device.
