Building Evaluation Templates in SkillShark: A Step-by-Step Guide

Step 1: Access evaluation settings

  • Go to the left navigation bar and select “Evaluation Settings.”
  • Choose “Evaluation Template” from the options.

Step 2: Set up categories

  • Within the template, there will be default categories (on the left-hand side) for you to choose from.
  • Use the plus arrow beside categories to add additional categories as needed.

Step 3: Add metrics

  • To add a metric, click on “Add metric” under a skill (i.e., Passing).
  • Select the metric type, name the metric, and assign the mix and max score (for subjective and objective scores).
  • Save your changes.

Step 4: Add skills

  • If you want to add an additional skill, scroll down to the bottom of your template and click “Add Skill.”
  • Within that new skill, you can then add additional metrics. Note: In hockey a skill would be skating and metrics would be starts, stops, and edge work.

Step 5: Finalize template

  • Your customized evaluation template will be automatically available for your events.
  • Modifications made to the template will be reflected in any subsequent evaluations.
