Developmental Resources in SkillShark: A Step-by-Step Guide

Step 1: Add a new resource

  • Navigate to the “Developmental Resources” section on the navigation bar.
  • Click on “Add Resource” at the top right to create a new developmental resource.

Step 2: Provide basic details

  • Include a link to the resource (this could be a YouTube video or PDF).
  • Name the resource and select the type (video, document, or other link).
  • Add a description for better context.

Step 3: Set distribution rules

  • Set rules for distributing the resource. All players can receive this resource or you can select a player list.
  • You can also distribute developmental resources based on score (toggle on the “Scores” tab). i.e., If a player scores less than 50 points on skating, the developmental resource will attach to their report automatically.

Step 4: Encourage players to view resources

  • On a players individual report, if a developmental resource is included, it will be at the bottom of their report card.
  • Players can scroll to the bottom of the report to find “Recommended Resources.”
