Athlete Self-assessments in SkillShark: A Step-by-Step Guide

Step 1: Create a new self-assessment

  • Click on the “Events” section on the left-hand navigation bar.
  • Click “Add New” in the top right corner and click “Self-Assessment.”
  • Set a due date (e.g., mid-April). This ensures all athletes will have the assessment to you by that date.

Step 2: Form evaluation metrics into questions

  • Toggle on the metrics you’d like to include and transform them into questions to ask your athletes.
  • I.,e,. Under Leadership, a question might be “How would you rate your leadership on the team?”

Step 3: Invite players

  • Select the players you’d like to invite to participate in the self-assessment.
  • Ensure all email addresses are valid, then click “Create Event.”
  • Note: Verify the successful delivery of the self-assessment and update player emails or make revisions as needed.

Step 4: Encourage athletes to complete assessment

  • Athletes will receive prompts to download the mobile app and complete their self-assessment before the due date.

Step 5: Download or share reports

  • As reports are completed, download a PDF version of the report by selecting the blue download button to the right of the report.
